FLI can provide you with a complete site design service, including planning & drawing production.
We Can Offer
FLI have a wide range of standard products that have beendeveloped over the years including steel structures and foundation solutions. Wherepossible we will endeavour to meet your requirements with an existing product,whether for a single site or for a range of locations as part of a larger project, thus saving on design time and costs. Many products are modular and extendible so that for example a single type of lattice tower may be put to efficient use for a variety of applications.
Any existing tower or mast supplied by FLI can be re-analysed to account for equipment upgrades or any other changes in requirements that may occur over the lifetime of a structure. This is typically carried out in accordance with the latest relevant design codes. For older structures, codes in use at the original time of manufacture may be used instead if requested. Analysis is undertaken using a combination of specialist software packages and in-house developed spreadsheets.
We can offer the same service for non-FLI structures if full details are provided, and even carry out a survey to find this informationourselves if it is not readily available.
Where no existing product is suitable, we are happy todesign a bespoke solution to satisfy your operational and aesthetic needs. Due to the integrated nature of the design, drawing and manufacture process at FLI, you can have input at every stage to ensure that your requirements are met. All bespoke design work includes the production of full fabrication drawings using 3D modelling. We can also offer rendered 3D graphics of our products to realistically illustrate their appearance within the surrounding environment.
Each screw pile foundation solution is prepared site-specifically by selecting from a catalogue of standard parts based on the applied loading and Ground Investigation data.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) & 3D Digital Prototyping
Our dedicated CAD team can produce drawings at every stage of the design process, from initial concept sketches through to site plans and manufacturing details.
Digital Prototyping is used to fully assemble all elements of a product or structure on screen in the 3D environment before a single part has been made. This saves time by greatly reducing any potential issues that could arise during manufacture and assembly, as well as removing potential cost for residual works.
