Laydown Staging

Case Study: FLI design savings over consultancy design.
REB for Cambridge
25% smaller footprint than consultancy submitted design.
1 complete shift was saved on foundation installation as only 8 piles were used instead of the consultancies 10.
2 further shifts were saved installing the smaller, simpler frame, walkway and steps.
Another shift was saved as cable management is integrated into the frame.

Laydown Platforms

Low Cost Bespoke Solutions
Some sites need bespoke platforms. This can increase design lead times and installation complexity.
FLI's off-the-shelf products with their standardised fastenings, frames and fittings are used to create bespoke assemblies without a significant escallation in cost.
Screw piles and hand install pile or kentledge foundations enable installation a long way from the track, on steep slopes or on congested sites, where traditional concrete is a less workable option.
Lightweight piled solutions are able to bridge difficult ground or existing services, simplifying the solution required.

Signal Laydown Savings
Standard 7m x 2m laydown platform on 4 x 193mm screw piles, compared to FLI designed 7m x 2m platform on 2 piles with integrated cable management and hand rail: Saving: 9%
Additional cable management design and supply, compared to FLI's integrated capacity: Saving: 100%
Cost of 4 smaller piles compared to FLI's 2 larger ones: Saving: 15%
3 shifts to install standard platform with 4 piles and cable management and cable management, compared to 2 shifts for FLI solution: Saving: 33%
Total Saving: 31%

Refuge Platforms
FLI's refuge platforms can be installed either as fully assembled units, or 'piece small' for green zone working to reduce possessions. Green zone working can extend to the foundations using FLI's hand installed screw piles, greatly reducing overall costs.
