Case Study:

Sparke Evans - Bridge Foundation

Client Name:       Alun Griffiths
Project Value:     £300K
Scope Of Work:  Installation of 9m alternating screw piles to form foundation supporting a

                               60m access ramp.

FLI installed 9 metre long alternating screw piles to create a robust foundation for the Sparke Evans Bridge in Bristol. Overcoming heavy rain and waterlogged ground, installed in conjunction with our approved partner COWAP, the piles achieved design depth and torque, ensuring reliable performance in challenging conditions.

FLI’s solution provides a foundation for a 60 m-long access ramp for a bridge over the River Avon. This project demonstrates how screw piles deliver stability, adaptability, and efficiency, even in constraining and adverse ground conditions.
